With the Gold Series, Cort introduces a premium line of all-solid acoustic guitars featuring thermally treated (“torrefied”) tops and bracing. Cort calls this process “Aged To Vintage,” as it recreates the natural aging of a guitar top over decades. The result is a rich, balanced, and overtone-filled sound usually associated with old, well-played vintage instruments.
The ultra-thin UV finish of the Gold Series further enhances the guitar’s excellent resonance and vibration characteristics. In addition, Cort developed the innovative “Double Lock Neck Joint,” which combines a glued neck joint with additional bolting to improve resonance transfer and sustain.
