The sound and character of the Rec To Distortion is directly inspired by the famous amps from Petaluma in California - both visually and sonically.

The pedal offers a fat, warm high-gain sound with a tight attack and rich compression. Originally designed for a highly compressed and ultra-fat high-gain sound, the Rec To pedal is also interesting for styles outside the hard & heavy genre:

With the gain pot turned halfway up, the pedal produces a powerful, warm crunch sound with plenty of attack, which suits full classic rock guitarists.

The more the gain is turned up, the thicker the sound becomes and gains bass and sustain. This combination results in the characteristic bass-rich, heavy and compressed sound that metal, alternative and rock fans alike love.  A simple but effective user interface

Simplicity is at the heart of Rec To Distortion. The passive two-band tone control (bass and treble) is perfectly tuned to adapt the sound of the pedal to the respective guitar or playing style, while the gain and volume controls can be used to adjust the intensity and character of the distortion sound. The pedal can be completely removed from the signal path using true bypass.
