The Squier® Contemporary Active Precision Bass® PH V brings a breath of fresh air to the iconic Fender design line with modern features and eye-catching details. Even demanding bassists will get their money's worth here. At its heart are two Squier SQR™ ceramic pickups: a split single-coil and a bridge humbucker, which are controlled by a 9-volt preamp - a proprietary Fender development. It has intuitive controls for volume, pickup blend, tone and a stacked control as a booster for bass and treble. The neck of this five-string is made of roasted maple, a good-sounding and very stable wood. The neck foot feels pleasantly flat, allowing you to comfortably reach the highest positions on the fingerboard with your fretting hand. Other high-performance components include a modern bridge with extra mass for optimum body resonance and open tuning machines that are easy to move and adjust precisely. Beautiful details: black hardware with a stealth look and a lacquered headstock with chrome logos.
