The Monterey Standard has a medium Concert body made of laminated Sapele wood. The lively grain matches the tonal character - the Monterey develops a warm, balanced tone that lets you play many musical styles. Your fretting hand will love the slim C-profile nato neck with gently rounded fingerboard edges. String tension is slightly lower than other models thanks to the shortened 24.75" scale length. You'll probably recognize the headstock design with the 6 row action from our Fender electric guitars of the 1970s. At the bridge we have paid attention to a narrow string spacing, so you need less force when playing, and the gripping hand does not tire so quickly. Other details: satin urethane finish, vintage-style tuners for easy and precise tuning, GraphTech® NuBone® nut and bridge inlay for consistent, detailed harmonics. The Fender® preamp lets you capture the instrument's natural tone for pristine recording or play through your amp and system. The built-in tuner helps you retune in between.
