The TubeMan MKII mini pedal is a compactly dimensioned TS interpretation of NUX. The legendary green overdrive pedal is undoubtedly one of the most famous effects pedals, which has been copied countless times and immortalized on hundreds of songs since its introduction in the late 70s.
Its sound quickly became the secret weapon of many renowned guitarists such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Carlos Santana and Gary Moore, and even today Joe Bonamassa, John Mayer and many others swear by its qualities as a boost or overdrive pedal!
The pedal was originally designed to simulate the sound of guitar amplifiers whose tubes were driven into harmonic distortion. Screamer pedals therefore make it possible to drive a rich, overtone-rich and controllable tube overdrive sound at an acceptable volume without pushing your own amp to its limits.
The Tubeman MKII has the same simple design as its famous role model and offers three potentiometers: Level, Gain and Tone. This allows the pedal to be used as a booster at low gain and high volume settings - or as an overdrive for fat blues-rock, rock and old-school metal sounds at higher gain settings.
The FET transistor selected by NUX offers a characteristic clipping behavior that reproduces the natural saturation of a tube amplifier and delivers exactly those overtones that flatter the sound of a guitar. With its e
